Reference Projects
Proven in Service
Faster workboats serve in some of the most demanding operational environments in Europe, from the Baltic archipelago to German inland waterways, from Finnish lakes to North Sea coastal operations. Our customers include fire departments, rescue services, coast guard agencies, police forces, customs authorities, and civil protection organisations.
Every vessel in active service is a reference. The projects below represent a selection of deliveries where we are able to share operational context and configuration details.

Kymijoen vesi ja ympäristö ry
Year-round environmental research on the Baltic Sea
KyVy, a Finnish environmental research organisation, selected a Faster cabin catamaran for year-round water quality monitoring and research operations on the eastern Gulf of Finland. The vessel — named Mysis — replaced an ageing covered aluminium boat that had served the organisation for decades.
The catamaran platform was chosen for its stability during water sampling operations: the twin-hull design keeps the working deck level under varying load conditions, which is critical when taking precise measurements at sea. KyVy had previously operated a smaller Faster vessel and visited the factory in Kellokoski before placing the order.
- Catamaran stability selected as decisive factor for water sampling accuracy
- Year-round operation in exposed Baltic Sea conditions
- Second Faster vessel for the organisation — factory visit confirmed the decision

Norpparanta
Accessible lake excursion services on Lake Saimaa
Norpparanta, based in Puumala on Lake Saimaa, provides accessible nature and lake excursion services for people with reduced mobility and corporate clients. When selecting a vessel, the primary requirement was a bow ramp enabling boarding by wheelchair or walking frame, without compromise on safety or dignity.
A Faster 81 CAT CCR was configured to meet these specific requirements, including the installation of a lifting device for assisted boarding. The Finnish manufacturing origin was an additional factor in the decision. Norpparanta’s operator visited the factory in Kellokoski during the procurement process and received design input directly from the engineering team.
- Bow ramp selected as primary requirement for wheelchair-accessible boarding
- Custom lift installed for assisted passenger embarkation
- Factory visit and direct engineering dialogue shaped the final configuration

What Our Customers Say
From Our Operators
“What impressed us about the procurement process was that our wishes were listened to, and on the other hand, we got good ideas for our contemplation work.”
